CHAPTER III - METHODOLOGY

This chapter presents the project design, project development, operational and testing procedure, and the evaluation procedure.

PROJECT DESIGN
The financial literacy of public school teachers differs because of differing personality, behavior and environment. He or she responded to the problem depending on the programming that he or she has as a child. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, there is a need first that the person should be aware or understand how he or she behaved for a certain problem.
This study aimed to help the teachers by developing a programs, seminars and workshops for them to be aware and understand their behavior towards their finances. Through these seminars and workshops, the teachers will have a clear understanding of themselves and will know why they are deep in debt.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
The diagram below shows the conceptual processes that will be done on the project. It includes six steps: (1) research; (2) analysis; (3) design; (4) creating and formulating programs, seminars or workshops; (5) evaluation; (6) final design and implementation.

Research
Obtain adequate knowledge on the current social status of public school teachers and determine their financial literacy aptitude or level. Factors that have a major effect or influence on their literacy or illiteracy will be given emphasis that will lead to the solutions on how these can be improve to empower every public school teachers towards their dream of financial success.

After which, a thorough analysis on the scope and limitations of the proposed project can be determined.

Design
Design always follows the analysis. On this stage, after a thorough analysis, the design or mapping the solutions to the problem based on that analysis. The design will include the mapping of stages that the public school teachers will go through to meet their dream of financial success.

Create / Formulate
On this stage, an initial workable solution or formula will be created on how the teachers can be empowered. This will thus help everyone to check if the proposed project will be attainable. In addition to that, the researcher of this study will be able to see possible problems on the early stages if development.

Evaluation
In order to gather suggestions, recommendations, and comments from the teachers or the target recipients of this study, the researcher will conduct interviews and partial results during the development stage of this project.

Final Design and Implementation
After gathering all the information needed in the project, the program will be developed for Jaen, Nueva Ecija, Philippines public school teachers. Different organizations will meet to discuss the programs and schedules that will not conflict on the teachers’ respective assignment.
For the implementation, the teachers will be trained on the different programs that will empower them financially. The researcher will create a manual for the operations of the different programs.

Statistical Treatment of Data. This study will use the mean scores in the treatment of the gathered data. The results of the evaluation will be interpreter using the scale as presented below.

Numerical Scale
